Unicorn baby dolls onesie crochet pattern

Unicorn baby doll onesie crochet pattern

Thanks for checking out my Unicorn baby dolls onesie crochet pattern. Continuing with my collection of crochet dolls clothes I couldn’t resist making an unicorn themed onesie. I love unicorns, they really are so pretty. And honestly, what could be cuter than a baby dressed as a unicorn?! The doll onesies have gone down a storm with my children and they love dressing up their babies ready to take to bed.

Unicorn dolls onesie description

The Unicorn dolls onesie is designed to fit 14″ baby dolls. You can find measurements of the doll in my photo by scrolling down to the free crochet pattern info. The hooded dolls onesie buttons up the front. The hood is decorated with a unicorns cone, ears, mane and pretty flowers. Overall, the dolls clothes are super cute and colourful and will put a smile on any child’s face!

How it’s made

The Unicorn baby dolls onesie crochet pattern is Easy skill level. The dolls outfit is mainly made using half double crochet but you will need to know all your basic crochet stiches to complete the pattern. The onesie is made in one piece and the only sewing involved is to attach the decorations to the hood. To make the dolls onesie I used DK (weight 3) yarn. I used a 4mm crochet hook. Please check your gauge before starting and adjust your hook if you need too. This will ensure that the clothes fits your doll. The crochet dolls clothes uses approximately 98g (277m/307yd) of yarn. You will also need 2 buttons to complete the pattern.

Finished size

Doll size

The following measurements are of the doll used in the photo. You can easily adjust the length of the sleeves, legs and torso by simply adding or removing rounds in these areas.

Height – 14″

Waist circumference – 24cm

Torso length – 16cm

Arm circumference – 9cm

Under arm length – 11cm

Thigh circumference – 15cm

Pattern notes

I do not count chains or finishing slip stitches in my stitch count. Numbers in brackets are the number of rows/stitches.

Stitches separated with a comma are to be made in separate spaces. eg. (sc, 2hdc) would mean sc in first stitch then 2 hdc in the next stitch. eg. (sc x 2, 2hdc) would mean sc in first stitch, sc in second stitch, then 2 hdc in next stitch.

I chose to change colours while completing the last stitch on the previous row. You can use this method or your preferred colour changing method.
