Gift box crochet pattern
Thanks for checking out my gift box crochet pattern. This little gift box is about the size of a ring box. I made the gift box as part of my Christmas doll house collection. By adding a little toy stuffing and sewing on the lid it could be used for decorating Christmas crafts such as wreaths too. Another use could be a Christmas accessory for Amigurumi toy.
Description
The little gift box measures just 4cm x 4cm square. The height it 3cm. As shown in the photo it will easily fit it your hand. You can add toy stuffing and sew the lid on if your using it as a decoration. In this case I didn’t sew my lid on as my children wanted used the gift box as a Christmas play set for their fashion dolls.
How it’s made
To complete the little gift box crochet pattern I used DK (weight 3) yarn and a 3.5mm crochet hook. I chose to use red and silver but you can of course use any colours you like. There’s minimum sewing involved. To be specific you’ll simply need to sew the ribbon to the lid. The gift box crochet pattern is beginner friendly. You’ll need to know your basic crochet stitches along with being able to work into the back loop and simple increases.

Gauge / Tension
Gauge is important as everyone crochets with a different tension. If your 2” swatch doesn’t match up you can change your hook size to suit your tension.
3.5mm hook – 2” x 2” square = 11 rows of 10 sc
Pattern notes
I do not count chains in my stitch count.
Numbers in brackets are the number of rounds/stitches.
Stitches separated with a comma are to be made in separate spaces eg. (sc, inc) would mean sc in first stitch then inc in next stitch.
