Summer nights baby booties crochet pattern

Thanks for checking out my Summer nights baby booties crochet pattern. To begin, I find myself extremely lucky to be living so close to the seaside. That being said, I’m in the U.K. so even the summers can get chilly at times. Especially in the evenings. With this in mind I wanted to design a pair of baby booties that were both warm and summery. I’ve always been a big fan of the nautical theme, especially for babies which inspired me to design these little shoes.

Baby bootie description

These cute nautical themed crochet baby booties are perfect for little feet on cold summer evenings. These were designed with baby girls in mind, hence the big red bow. Saying that, the bow is sewn on at the end so if you wanted a boy’s shoe, you could always leave this part out. The free baby bootie crochet pattern is for size 6-12 months. My paid pattern includes 3 different sizes including 0-3 months, 3-6 months and 6-12 months.

How they are made

The baby booties work up very quickly and the crochet pattern is easy skill level. As well as knowing your basic crochet stitches you’ll need to know how to increase/decrease and work into the back loops. You’ll also need to be confident colour changing and have basic sewing skills to attach the bow at the end. To make the booties I used DK (weight 3) yarn in 3 different colours. As you can see I chose navy, red and white for a classic seaside nautical theme. However you can get creative and use any colours you like. Please remember to check your gauge and adjust your hook if needed so your booties will fit your baby.
