Slouch baby booties crochet pattern
Thanks for checking out my Slouch baby booties crochet pattern. I wanted to make a pair of modern baby booties that looked both comfortable and practical. With this in mind I came up with the mini slouch booties. The cute little booties are perfect to keep little feet warm and cosy and also have an adjustable cuff so there’s less chance of them slipping off.
Baby bootie description
As you can see from my photos the baby booties look great in all colour combos. The bow detail adds a pretty little touch for a baby girl. It also has a practical use as you can pull it before tying just like a set of laces. Because of this they can fit the babies ankle more securely and have less chance of falling off a tiny wiggly foot. The cuff folds over and ‘slouches’ over the bootie, hence the name ‘Mini slouch baby booties’ The baby bootie crotchet pattern is available in 3 different sizes to suit babies ages from birth to one year old. To be specific 0-3 months, 3-6 months and 6-12 months. However only one size is available as a free crochet pattern (6-12 months). You can purchase the bundle of 3 patterns from my Etsy or Ravelry store.
How they are made
To make the slouch baby booties you will need DK (weight 3) yarn in 2 different colours. You’ll also need a 4mm crochet hook. Obviously you may need to adjust your hook size after completing your gauge swatch. Gauge is particularly important for this crochet pattern as you’ll want the booties to fit your baby. The Slouch baby bootie crochet pattern is easy skill level. You will need to know your basic crochet stitches as well as simple increases and decreases. You’ll also need to know how to work into the front and back loops. There’s no sewing involved in this pattern and the booties are crocheted in one piece.
