Summer is on its way, and it got me inspired to create a free mini sunflower applique crochet pattern. This easy crochet sunflower pattern is beginner friendly and the small Summer flower is quick and easy to make. These small crochet sunflower appliqués are perfect to get you in the mood for summer. The mini appliques a great stash buster too! The little petals pop out giving the mini sunflower appliqué a 3D effect. How to crochet a sunflower applique
The mini sunflower appliqué is a fast, easy, beginner friendly crochet pattern. The sunflower motifs use only a small amount of yarn, so they’re great to use up scraps. To make the small sunflower appliqué I used DK/Light Worsted yarn and a 4mm crochet hook. But, you could try out different yarn weights with the recommended hook for different sized motifs.

Crochet pattern notes
- Chains are not included in the stitch count.
- Unless otherwise stated, stitches separated with a comma are to be made in separate spaces. eg. (sc, dc) would mean sc in the first stich, dc in the second stitch.
- After fastening off, weave in ends, unless you intend to use them for sewing the applique to a project.
