Little balloons crochet pattern
Thanks for checking out my little balloons crochet pattern. My children are always hosting birthday party’s for their mini dolls. My daughter was desperate for some ‘party’ toys to add to her play sets. With this in mind I made a crochet bouncy castle and of course little balloons. They’ve been a great hit with the kids. As well as us using the balloons as toys they’d make great decorations for box frames and Amigurumi.
Little balloons description
The little balloons measure just 3.5cm by 4cm. They’re great for using up scraps of yarn and only need a little toy stuffing. They’re super cute and really quick to make.
How their made
The little balloons crochet pattern is beginner friendly. You’ll need to know the single crochet stitch as well as being able to increase and decrease. I used DK (weight 3) yarn and a 3.5mm crochet hook to complete the project.

Gauge / Tension
Gauge is important as everyone crochets with a different tension. If your 2” swatch doesn’t match up you can change your hook size to suit your tension.
3.5mm hook – 2” x 2” square = 12 rows of 11 sc
Supplies
You will need the following supplies to complete the project (links will take you directly to my recommended supplies on love crafts)
– DK yarn
– Stitch markers (optional)
Pattern notes
I do not count chains in my stitch count.
Numbers in brackets are the number of rows/stitches.
Stitches separated with a comma are to be made in separate spaces eg. (sc, inc) would mean sc in first stitch then inc in next stitch.
Abbreviations
MR – magic ring
sc – single crochet
inc – increase (2 stitches in 1 space)
sc2tog- decrease / single crochet 2 together
ch – chain
