Fashion doll Santa hat crochet pattern
Thanks for checking out my doll Santa hat crochet pattern. As you may know I’ve been designing crochet items for my daughters doll house. However, with Christmas fast approaching I couldn’t resist making a Christmas time play set for them. In addition this little doll Santa hat is part of the collection. In conclusion it really is a fun doll accessory to help kids to get exited about Christmas.
Santa hat description
The crochet pattern will help you create a little Santa hat suitable for 12” fashion dolls. To begin, the Santa hat had a stripy texture while the cuff has a bobbly texture. Additionally the Christmas hat is folded down and sewn back after completion. Then it’s topped with a tiny little Pom-pom, surprisingly made using a dinner fork!
How it’s made
The doll Santa hat crochet pattern is beginner friendly and is really fast and easy to make. To make the Christmas hat I used DK (weight 3) yarn and a 3.5mm crochet hook. Additionally, to make the pompom I used a dinner fork to get the size small enough to fit a doll. Don’t forget to do a gauge swatch and check your tension if you want the hat to hit your doll. There is very basic sewing involved to complete to pattern.

sl st – Slip stich
sc – Single crochet
tr – Treble crochet

Gauge / Tension
Gauge is important as everyone crochets with a different tension. If your 2” swatch doesn’t match up you can change your hook size to suit your tension.
3.5mm hook – 2” x 2” square = 11 rows of 10 sc
Pattern notes
I do not count chains in my stitch count.
Numbers in brackets are the number of rounds/stitches.
Stitches separated with a comma are to be made in separate spaces eg. (sc, inc) would mean sc in first stitch then inc in next stitch.

Pom Pom
If you have a tiny Pompom maker you can skip this step and choose your own method. Completed size is 3cm
Wrap yarn (B) around a fork 50 times
Thread yarn (A) through the two middle prongs and tie around
Slip the yarn off the fork gently and pull the red (A) yarn tightly. Tie tightly and wrap around again and tie again so it’s very secure.
Cut through the loops using a scissors. No not cut red (A) yarn
Using a scissors cut around the Pom Pom to neaten up
Using a tapestry needle and the red (A) yarn from the pompom sew together the pompom, the top of the hat and the fluff off the hat.
Then weave in all ends and your hat is complete
