Diamond stitch cushion crochet pattern

Thanks for checking out my Diamond stitch cushion crochet pattern. I bought some lovely silver yarn to make something for myself, somehow it ended up being something for our home, ha! I cant be the only one who struggles to treat myself? I did really need some new cushions, I’m so happy with how this one turned out and I’m looking forward to making more.

Diamond stitch cushion description

The Diamond stitch cushion is measures 18″ x 18″. It has a truly beautiful texture and looks really modern and cosy. As the name suggests, its made using the diamond stitch. If you have not tried the stitch yet, this is a lovely project to give it a go. You won’t be disappointed!

How it’s made

The Diamond stitch cushion crochet pattern is intermediate skill level. The diamond stitch is a 4 row repeat and is easy enough once you get going. You will need to know your basic crochet stiches to complete the pattern as well as ‘front post treble crochet 2 together’ (instructions included). Each side of the cushion is made separately and they are joined together at the end using single crochet to give a nice neat ridge. There is no sewing involved in this pattern. To make the diamond cushion I used Aran (weight 4) yarn. I also used a 5mm crochet hook but you may need to adjust your hook after completing your gauge swatch to ensure a good fit to your 18″ cushion. The diamond cushion uses approximately 410g (804m/880yd) of yarn.
