Christmas tree crochet pattern

Christmas tree crochet pattern

Thanks for checking out my Christmas tree crochet pattern. This beautiful Christmas tree will look fabulous in your home this Christmas. As you may know I originally made the Christmas tree as part of a doll house bundle, but it is big enough and pretty enough to make a stunning table centrepiece or decoration for your home this Christmas. For this reason I crocheted two one for my dining table and one for the kids!

Christmas tree description

The crochet Christmas tree measures 16cm tall by 12cm wide (6.25” x 4.75”). A lovely size for a table decoration. Also the perfect size for a 1:6 scale dolls house (12” fashion dolls). The Christmas tree is finished of with a big bow around the trunk and of course a star on the top. You can have fun decorating your tree with fairy lights, beads, sequins or anything else you have in your craft box.

How to crochet a Christmas tree

The Christmas tree crochet pattern is easy to make. You’ll need to know your basic crochet stitches as well as simple increases/decreases. You’ll also need to know how to work into back/front loops and simple colour changes. In addition to make the Christmas tree I used a 4.5mm crochet hook and DK (weight 3) yarn in 3 colours. I used green and brown for a traditional Christmas tree with silver for the decorations to match the ones I have at home. As well as yarn you’ll need toy stuffing to fill up your tree. I chose to decorate mine with a chain of yarn, beads and battery operated fairy lights. As you can see from my photos, you really don’t need those if you don’t have them handy as it looks fabulous without them too.

Crochet pattern notes

I do not count chains in my stitch count

Numbers in brackets are the number of rounds/stitches in that round)

Stitches separated with a comma are to made in separate spaces eg. (sc, inc) would mean sc in first stitch then inc in next stitch
